These Terms of Service govern your use of the Dunio Android app.
Dunio is a mobile-first app for shared household finance tracking. It is designed to help users record and view shared finance information such as transactions, assets, liabilities, recurring items, and household-level summaries.
These Terms reflect the app's current behavior. Review them with legal counsel if needed before relying on them in production.

1. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms under the laws that apply to you. If you are using Dunio on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
2. Your account
Dunio uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining access to your Google account
- using accurate information
- all activity that occurs through your account
You must not attempt to access households or data you are not authorized to access.
3. Shared household model
If you create or join a household:
- household data may be visible to other members of that household
- your actions may affect other members of that household
- you should only invite or join households where you have permission to share data
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Dunio for unlawful purposes
- attempt to bypass authentication, membership checks, or security controls
- interfere with the app or its infrastructure
- upload or enter malicious, deceptive, or harmful content
- misuse invite flows or impersonate another person
5. Financial information disclaimer
Dunio is a record-keeping and tracking tool only.
Dunio does not provide:
- financial advice
- legal advice
- tax advice
- accounting services
- investment advice
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for any decisions you make based on that data.
6. No guarantee of accuracy or availability
We try to keep Dunio available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Shared household data, widgets, quick-entry surfaces, and Firebase-backed data may be unavailable due to outages, maintenance, software issues, third-party failures, or connectivity problems.
7. Data and backups
You are responsible for the data you enter into Dunio. While we may use reasonable technical measures to protect data, you should not rely on Dunio as your only record of important financial information.
8. Intellectual property
The Dunio app, branding, and related materials are owned by
Davide Simone Agostini, except for third-party libraries,
frameworks, trademarks, and content that belong to their respective owners.
If the app source code is made available under an open-source license, that license governs the source code itself. These Terms govern use of the hosted service and app distribution unless otherwise stated.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Dunio if:
- you violate these Terms
- we reasonably believe your use creates security, legal, or operational risk
- we stop offering the service
You may stop using Dunio at any time.
At this time, Dunio does not provide a fully self-service in-app account deletion flow.

10. Third-party services
Dunio depends on third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, and Cloud Firestore. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes, or failures outside our reasonable control.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dunio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Davide Simone Agostini
will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or
punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business
opportunities arising out of or related to your use of Dunio.
Where the law does not allow certain limitations, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice if required.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy,
excluding its conflict of law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
